To attach PEX tubing to the foam board insulation, a PEX Stapler Tool is used together with the PEX Staples. PEX Stapler tool is loaded with strips of staples and works in a similar manner to a regular paper stapler. Installer positions the tool over the PEX tubing and presses the tool handle. A staple in then disposed from the strip and is driven by the mechanism deep inside the foam.

PEX Staples are designed to accommodate tubing sizes from 3/8" to 3/4" and feature arrow-like ends which firmly hold the tubing in place. Currently Everhot Inc. offers two types of PEX Staples – in strips (for PEX Stapler Tool) and manual (bulk in a bag).
