Everhot Inc. offers one of the most complete lines of brass insert fittings today. Current variety includes elbows, tees, couplings, plugs, male and female sweat adapters, thread adapters, sweat elbows, thread elbows and drop ear elbows. These are available in a variety of types and sizes ranging from 3/8” to 1” . This line is completed with ASTM F1807 copper crimp rings (sizes 3/8” through 1 ¼”) and ASTM F2098 stainless steel clamps (sizes ½”, ¾” and 1”), which are used to secure fittings in the tubing.
Brass insert fittings distributed by Everhot Inc. are forged brass, NSF certified for potable water applications (NSF-pw), manufactured to ASTM F1807 and UPC® approved.
Barb insert type fittings have proven to provide one of the most reliable connections available today. They are distributed by a majority of plumbing supply houses and priced far lower than other types, such as compression fittings or push-in fittings.
Brass insert fittings' design implements so-called "barbs" that provide an extra grip with the tubing at the point of connection, and prevent the fittings from being pushed out by pressure.
There are several methods of connecting a brass insert fitting with PEX tubing. Everhot Inc. currently supplies materials and tools for the following two:
1. Crimp connection requires a crimp tool, a go-no-go gage and a copper crimp ring of a proper size.
2. Clamp connection requires a clamp (cinch) tool and a proper size stainless steel clamp.
